Testing Different Brushes
This week we used a range of brushes to see what paint marks they could make. Everything from very thin rigger brushes to broad, flat brushes.
Making Marks
The images below show a range of marks made using different brushes. It shows that each brush is capable of making various marks on the paper.
Painting Flowers
We used some of the brushes to paint some plants that the lecturer had brought in. I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed painting these. Many were done with a rigger brush to get the fine details.
I continued this exercise by collecting a range of plants and painting them in a vase at home.
